Six residents of Kirov will be rewarded for saving a child.
On July 26, the police received a report about a child falling from the fourth floor window of a house in Shkolny Lane in the Raduzhny microdistrict. An investigative team immediately went to the scene.
As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kirov region, police established that a four-year-old boy was at home with his mother. The woman left her son unattended in a room with an open window, after which the child climbed onto the windowsill.
While the boy was walking along the windowsill, he was noticed by a resident of the neighboring house. She grabbed a blanket and ran outside, persuading two other men to help along the way. Later, the boy's father and two of his adult sons joined them. When the child knocked out the mosquito net, he ended up on the outer ledge and fell down; by that time, six residents of Kirov had already managed to stretch out the blanket and caught the boy.
Arriving medics found no injuries on the child. His life and health are not in danger now.
The police reported that the identities of four of the six participants in the rescue have already been established. For their displayed concern and civic stance, they will be rewarded by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov region and the Public Council under the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At the same time, police officers continue the investigation. The actions of the child's mother will be legally assessed.
