Patriarch Kirill and the ambassador of Belarus expressed condolences to the families of those who died in Kirov.
We remind you that yesterday, July 24, a missile strike occurred at one of the enterprises in Kirov. Initially, the authorities reported that six people had died. Today, Governor Alexander Sokolov stated that the actual number of victims is five.
Meanwhile, the tragedy was commented on by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Rus'. He expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased and the injured. The Patriarch wrote that he received the news with deep sorrow and that "the committed atrocity testifies to the criminal nature of those who gave this order." He expressed hope that the regional authorities would provide the necessary assistance to the victims and the families of the deceased. According to him, the Vyatka Diocese is ready to offer pastoral support to all those in need. The Patriarch added: "I raise a prayer to the Lord for the repose of the souls of the innocently slain and for the swift healing of the wounded."
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus Yuri Seliverstov also expressed his condolences: "With a feeling of deep sorrow and pain, we received the sad news about the human casualties and injuries resulting from the missile attack on the enterprise in Kirov." The ambassador asked to convey words of deep sympathy and support to the relatives and friends of the deceased, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
