      This little one was found by the road in the Kirov region. Most likely, he was hit by a car — the impact was on his head and the back of his body. The raccoon couldn't close his jaw, and his hind legs barely responded. But despite all this, he survived.

      In the first days, animal rights activists focused on the most important task — stabilizing his condition. And they succeeded: the raccoon started eating, although due to the injury his mouth remains open, and he is making attempts to stand on his legs. However, leaving the jaw in such a state is not an option — without a normal bite, a wild animal simply cannot survive.

      A decision was then made for surgery. Today, on the day this news is released, the little one is already on the surgeons' table. Those who have been caring for him say: he is trying very hard, reaching for food, and clearly wants to live. This is what gave hope.
