Morozova did not attend the plenary session, and her project has been postponed "to a later date."
Let us remind you that earlier, the deputy of the Kirov Regional Duma, Irina Morozova ("United Russia"), submitted for consideration a draft resolution on amendments to the rules of ethics for deputies. It caused great outrage among the opposition, as it proposed several scandalous and ambiguous innovations. One of them is a ban on deputies using expressions that discredit the authorities. It also stated that deputies are not entitled to give orders to government bodies.
Recently, the draft was supposed to be reviewed by the Duma committee, but Morozova requested not to do so for now. Today, July 23, at the plenary session, the chairman of the Duma, Roman Beresnev, announced: "At the initiative of the subject, supported by the responsible committee, the draft on amendments to the Duma resolution approving the rules of ethics for deputies has been excluded with a postponement for later consideration."
It also became known that Irina Morozova (who usually tries to attend all plenary sessions) is absent today. She has transferred her vote to deputy Alexey Potapenko.
