Salary summer 2026 in the Kirov region: who is overpaid and who maintains the standard.
The most principled on salary issues this summer in the Kirov region are motorists, agrarians, and manufacturers. This data was obtained by analysts from hh.ru, who surveyed more than 20.6 thousand Russian job seekers, including residents of the region. Overall, 44% of local workers do not intend to compromise on money to keep their old job or to take a new one. However, digging deeper reveals that the willingness to negotiate heavily depends on the professional field.
Where expectations and offers diverge in different directions
The June ranking shows that the highest demands are traditionally from managerial staff. Top managers in the Kirov region, on average, want 119.8 thousand rubles, while employers offer them 109 thousand. Specialists in strategy, investments, and consulting request 105 thousand (there is no data on offers for this category in the study).
However, there are industries where companies are willing to pay even more than candidates ask. For example, in agriculture, candidates' expectations are 99.6 thousand rubles, while the offered salary is 104 thousand. In construction and real estate, the gap is even more noticeable: 84.2 thousand versus 114.7 thousand rubles. In the automotive business, employers offer 94.4 thousand against requests of 75.2 thousand. In raw material extraction and among the working personnel, there is also an excess of offers over expectations.
The opposite picture is seen in areas where candidates aim for a higher income than companies are willing to pay. In manufacturing and service maintenance, candidates want 90 thousand, while 84.4 thousand is offered. In IT, requests are 80 thousand against 64.3 thousand offered. In procurement, it’s 73.3 thousand versus 66.6 thousand.
Who negotiates and who does not
The most unyielding are representatives of the automotive business: 55% of them are unwilling to lower their expectations. They are followed by agricultural workers (52%), manufacturing sector employees (51%), builders (50%), and top managers (49%).
On the opposite end are specialists who are more willing to make concessions. These are IT job seekers (47% agree to a lower pay level for a job offer), as well as security personnel (39%), marketing and advertising workers (37%), and those in arts and mass media (35%).
As explained by the company, where employers offer more than expectations (agriculture, construction, automotive business, extraction, and skilled trades), there is high competition for qualified employees. In management and expert fields, manufacturing, IT, and procurement, candidates themselves raise their expectations — reflecting the value of their competencies and the level of responsibility in such positions. Thus, the summer labor market in the Kirov region represents a mosaic of industries where the power lies alternately with one or the other side of the negotiations. Salaries of colleagues are known to 72% of Kirov residents, but not everyone wants to find out about them. Men in Kirov threaten their bosses 1.4 times more often, but women get their way.

The June labor market snapshot showed that almost half of the job seekers in Kirov are not willing to lower their price for their work. At the same time, in certain sectors of the region, employers themselves offer more than what is requested, while in others, the figures in job vacancies are noticeably more modest than the candidates' ambitions.
