In Yaran, police officers solved a burglary from an apartment on Karl Marx Street. A musical speaker and a bicycle worth a total of 12,500 rubles went missing from the home of a local resident.
According to the police, an unknown person tore off the hinges of the padlock and entered the apartment. After that, detectives identified the suspect and detained him.
He turned out to be a 52-year-old resident of Yoshkar-Ola. The man had come to the Kirov region for work. According to law enforcement, on the day of the crime, he was in a state of alcohol intoxication and entered the first apartment he came across.
It later became clear that the stolen items did not hold much interest for him — the man threw the stolen speaker and bicycle into the bushes.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Theft committed with illegal entry into a dwelling." This crime carries a penalty of up to six years of imprisonment.
