The repair on the stretch disrupted the train schedules and caused queues at the Perm station.

Restoration work is being carried out on the section of the Sverdlovsk Railway between Kisherth and Shumkovo. As a result, several passenger trains have been forced to change their routes — trains are being directed along alternative tracks to get them onto the main routes, bypassing the problematic area.

According to the press service of JSC "FPK," the changes have affected several categories of trains. In particular, trains No. 73 Tyumen – St. Petersburg, No. 69 Chita – Moscow, No. 149 Chelyabinsk – St. Petersburg, and No. 109 Novy Urengoy – Moscow now travel through the stations of Kuzino and Lysva, and only return to the usual route at the Perm station.

Trains No. 1 Vladivostok – Moscow and No. 85 Serov – Moscow are also being rerouted — their route is now through Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Tagil, and Chusovaya, with a return to the main track also in Perm.

For opposing routes, the scheme is similar, but with a return to Yekaterinburg. Trains No. 72 St. Petersburg – Yekaterinburg, No. 2 Moscow – Vladivostok, and No. 802 Perm – Yekaterinburg will follow the altered route through Chusovaya and Nizhny Tagil, returning to the main highway at the Yekaterinburg station.

For passengers whose trains are delayed by more than 4 hours, meals are provided — these will be organized at the stations in Perm, Yekaterinburg, and Shuvakish. Russian Railways also emphasized that train crew members are providing all necessary assistance and support to passengers.

Meanwhile, the situation on the ground remains tense. Readers have contacted Newsler.ru, who found themselves in Perm and are unable to return to Kirov. According to them, the train was supposed to depart at 10 a.m., but the departure has not yet occurred, and people have been waiting since five in the morning. Passengers attribute this to the rescheduling of arrival times for the trains that are being rerouted.

To obtain up-to-date information on train movements, Russian Railways recommends using the mobile application "RZD Passengers," the official company website, as well as the 24-hour free customer support phone number: 8 (800) 775-00-00.
