Novak explained the gasoline shortage with strikes on refineries.
In Russia, there is a fuel shortage due to the partial shutdown of oil refineries following drone attacks. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, as reported by "Vedomosti." According to him, the government is taking measures to maximize the load of operating capacities and intends to increase fuel supplies to the regions.
Novak also explained that the current ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel was introduced to stabilize the situation in the domestic market. At the same time, he noted that some resellers are trying to take advantage of the shortage and profit from the situation.
Particular attention, the deputy prime minister noted, is currently being paid to ensuring fuel supply to the northern delivery regions. This concerns the territories of the Far North, Siberia, and the Far East, where fuel delivery requires more complex logistics.
In addition, the authorities are working on changing the supply schemes for independent gas stations. According to Novak, in some regions, particularly in the Irkutsk region and the Transbaikal Territory, such gas stations are already switching to direct contracts with oil companies to avoid supply disruptions.
It is worth noting that in recent days, the Kirov region has also faced a gasoline shortage. Long queues and restrictions on fuel sales have arisen at several gas stations, after which regional authorities introduced new rules for gasoline distribution and announced an increase in daily supplies.
