In the Kirov region, road markings have been updated.
In the Kirov region, the update of horizontal road markings on regional and intermunicipal roads has been completed. The contractor was the regional enterprise "Vyatavtodor." According to the Ministry of Transport, work was carried out on several key routes simultaneously.
The total length of the regional lines exceeded 3,825 km, with 1,200 km of axes marked. Additionally, more than 3,100 linear meters were marked at pedestrian crossings. The agency clarified that certified paints and thermoplastic with reflective microspheres were used for the markings — the materials comply with GOST standards. A contrasting yellow-white scheme was applied at the crossings to attract drivers' attention.
Quality control was conducted instrumentally: the commission checked the geometry, uniformity and thickness of the layer, light reflectance, and adhesion to the road surface. No complaints regarding the standards arose.
The work was distributed across the routes as follows:
Kirov – Sovetsk – Yaran – over 200 km;
Zuevka – Bogorodskoye – Kurchany – more than 114 km;
Kirov – Kirovo-Chepetsk – Zuevka – Falënki – border of Udmurtia – over 137 km;
Kriusha – Sovetsk – Lebyazhye – Vershinyata – 125 km;
Yaran – Sanchursk – border of Mari El – 71 km;
Falënki – Uni – 70 km.
