According to the agency, 42 people died and 962 were injured in the region over the past six months. Compared to the same period last year, the number of fatalities decreased by 28.8%, however, the number of traffic accidents increased by 13.3%, and the number of injured rose by 13.2%.
In Kirov, 9 fatalities and 476 injuries were recorded.
Three or more fatalities in traffic accidents were reported in the Kilmiz district, Orichev district, Slobodsky district, Soviet district, and Yuryan district.
