Sharygina has left her position as head of the Department of Education.
Let us remind you that at a meeting in early June, Governor Alexander Sokolov ordered the dismissal of the head of the Kirov Department of Education, Arabella Sharygina. The reason was the department's decision to transfer students from "Inzhela" to other buildings. Meanwhile, rumors have emerged online that the administration decided to heed the governor's advice and dismiss Sharygina. Today, July 7, we contacted the department to inquire if this is true. The press service reported the following: "As of yesterday, she is no longer working in the department; she has been transferred to the position of deputy head of the territorial administration of the Lenin district." We were also informed that for now, the duties of the head of the department are being performed by deputy Svetlana Plyusnina, and starting tomorrow, another deputy, Andrey Sukhodoev, will also take on these responsibilities. Earlier, Kirov City Duma deputy from the Communist Party, Anastasia Vorobyeva, published a post against Sharygina's dismissal. She stated that the decision regarding "Inzhela" was made by the parents themselves, and everyone was satisfied until regional authorities intervened: "The parents conducted a survey themselves and decided by majority to transfer from 'Inzhela' to other schools or other buildings." Vorobyeva also noted that with Sharygina's arrival in the department, a significant number of issues she raised at Duma meetings began to move forward: "We changed the regulations on the remuneration of kindergarten workers, increased the wage fund by 600 million rubles per year. We introduced benefits for all kindergarten workers. We restarted previously abandoned programs for the capital repair of schools, and budget allocations for addressing mandates and executing court decisions increased. The list goes on." According to the deputy, more than 80 heads of educational organizations expressed their support for Sharygina by signing an appeal to the head of the Kirov administration, Vyacheslav Simakov. She also published the document on her page. "As a deputy of the Kirov City Duma, as the head of an educational institution, and as an educator, I stand in solidarity with my colleagues in defense of the head of the Department of Education," Vorobyeva added. "I believe that her dismissal was a mistake by Vyacheslav Nikolaevich and will roll back the progress that has been achieved under the leadership of Arabella Erzikhanovna."
