Russians were told about used cars that are not worth overpaying for.

      The "Russian Newspaper" reported on the most overrated used cars in the Russian market. The ranking was prepared by the expert of the magazine "Behind the Wheel," Sergey Zinoviev.

      One of the most expensive, according to the specialist, remains the Toyota RAV4. For a ten-year-old crossover with a mileage of about 140,000 kilometers, an average of 2.3 million rubles is requested, while some examples are valued at more than 3 million rubles. At the same time, the expert considers only the versions with a 2.5-liter engine or diesel and a classic automatic transmission to be a justified purchase. Modifications with a CVT, in his estimation, cost at least 200,000 rubles more than they should.

      The list also includes the third-generation Kia Rio. Despite the technical similarity with the Hyundai Solaris, the Rio is sold for an average of about 950,000 rubles compared to 900,000 rubles for the Solaris.

      The Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage are also labeled as overrated. With the same technical base, the Tucson costs about 110,000 rubles more.

      Also making it into the anti-rating are the Skoda Octavia and Toyota Corolla. The Octavia is about 100,000 rubles more expensive than the similarly equipped Volkswagen Jetta, while the Corolla, with an average price of about 1.45 million rubles, falls short of some competitors in size and is equipped with a CVT, which may require expensive repairs after high mileage.
