Nikolai Shabalin, acting rector of Vyatka State Agrarian Technological University, has submitted documents to run as a candidate for the regional Legislative Assembly in single-member electoral district No. 11. This district includes, in particular, Lebyazhsky, Nemskiy, Nolinskiy, and Sunskiy districts.
"I am going to the elections because I can and want to work. And because I took on the yoke - I’m not saying I can’t do it!" Shabalin cheerfully commented on his decision.
He is a deputy of the current convocation of the Legislative Assembly, serving on the committees for legislation and local self-government, as well as ecology and natural resource management.
