In the village of Karinka in the Kirovo-Chepetsk district, one of the residential houses on Sadovaya Street caught fire on the afternoon of July 6. The emergency services were alerted promptly, and the fire crews from the Ministry of Emergency Situations that arrived at the scene quickly extinguished the blaze. However, during the dismantling of structures and inspection of the premises, rescuers discovered the body of a deceased individual — a 59-year-old local resident.
Currently, this situation is being investigated by the investigators from the investigative department for the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk of the regional branch of the Investigative Committee of Russia. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire could have been careless smoking — this version is currently being considered as the main one. At the same time, investigators continue to carry out the necessary verification activities to establish a complete picture of the tragedy.
The final procedural decision will be made based on the results of the entire investigation — it will be at that time that it will become clear whether the collected materials will serve as grounds for initiating a criminal case.
