The "Sabantuy-2026" will be held in the Malmyzh district.

      The regional national holiday "Sabantuy - 2026" will take place on July 4 in the Malmyzh district. The event is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Kirov region. The organizers are the district administration, the Tourism Development Center, the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Competence Center in the Field of Tourism," and Tatar public organizations.

      The program is divided into thematic zones:

      cultural-ethnographic: "National Courtyard" with household items, crafts, and cuisine, a crafts fair, master classes;

      creative: a concert featuring folk groups and artists from Bashkortostan and Tatarstan;

      sports: "Koreş" wrestling, horse racing, volleyball, mini-football, arm wrestling, weightlifting;

      children's: animation, contests, quizzes;

      evening: youth groups, gift draws, cover band.

      The Tourism Development Center stated that the goals of the holiday are to showcase cultural diversity, support crafts, attract youth, and organize family recreation. According to them, this aligns with the national project "Tourism and Hospitality."

      The venue in the Malmyzh district is new. Last year, the All-Russian rural Sabantuy in Vyatskiye Polyany was remembered for mud, long lines for food costing 2,500 rubles, and overcrowding on buses (for example, artists had to change clothes in hay). 62 million rubles were spent on the organization, and the venue was promised to be transformed into a tourist cluster, but nothing has been reported about its fate after 2025. Now the holiday has been moved to another district.
