In Kirov, a criminal case has been initiated due to the death of a motorcyclist.

      On the morning of June 30, a collision occurred between a Lada Granta car and an IMZ motorcycle at the 16th kilometer of the Southern bypass of Kirov. The drivers were a 46-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, respectively. The motorcyclist was hospitalized with severe injuries and later died in the hospital. A 73-year-old passenger of the Granta was also injured.

      Meanwhile, the police have opened a criminal case against the driver of the Granta under part 3 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules resulting in the death of a person through negligence). Investigators believe that while driving on the Raduzhny bypass, she attempted to turn left onto the Southern bypass of Kirov without ensuring the safety of the maneuver and failed to yield to the motorcycle that was approaching. This led to the collision and the death of the motorcyclist.

      The police are currently establishing other circumstances of the incident. Necessary examinations have been appointed.
