In the Kirov region, "Rodnichok" has been flooded.

      In the village of Kosino in the Zuevsky district, the parents of the children attending the kindergarten "Rodnichok" are concerned about the condition of the building. According to them, after the rains, the rooms on the second floor are almost completely flooded.

      Currently, 18 children aged from one and a half to seven years old attend the kindergarten. The building itself is over 50 years old, and, as local residents claim, the roof has significantly deteriorated over this time.

      After precipitation, buckets have to be placed on the second floor to collect water. Due to constant dampness, black streaks resembling mold have appeared on the walls, the whitewash is peeling in places, and there is a persistent smell of moisture in the rooms.

      Parents report that water flows near the junction box. To avoid a short circuit, electricity had to be turned off on the second floor. Currently, part of the rooms on the first floor is being reconfigured to accommodate all the children, but leaks have already appeared there as well.

      According to local residents, the problem has been ongoing for several years — they claim that the roof has been leaking for about five years. Meanwhile, the administration of the Zuevsky district, as reported to the People's Front, explained the situation by heavy rains.

      Parents note that the kindergarten itself has no funds for either roof repairs or facade inspections. Meanwhile, the building continues to deteriorate: according to them, trees have already started to grow on the walls.

      After residents contacted the People's Front, the district authorities promised to carry out repairs, but specific timelines and the scope of work have not yet been announced. Public activists have also sent a request to Rospotrebnadzor.
