"Field of holidays and political intrigues": Zhuravlyov delivered sharp criticism at the city council meeting
After the report of the head of the Kirov administration on the work done last year, Zhuravlyov noted that the city administration had done a significant amount of work.
"I want to support Vyacheslav Simakov — you have done a tremendous job. And no matter how much you have done, it will always be too little and insufficient," the deputy stated.
At the same time, he emphasized that criticism is necessary for constructive management, and the task of deputies is to timely point out the mistakes and problematic decisions of the executive power.
Zhuravlyov specifically addressed the personnel policy in the region. According to him, the city council deputies lack constructive interaction with the regional ministries.
"We, the deputies of the Kirov Duma, are being ignored. And often, as a result of political intrigues, competent but undesirable people are removed from their positions, and 'their own' are appointed in their place. Such personnel changes most often do not benefit the city," he said.
Zhuravlyov urged Vyacheslav Simakov to show more persistence in protecting employees.
"We need to stand up for people when they are fired at the unspoken directive of the regional government," the deputy emphasized.
The leader of the "Fair Russia" faction also commented on the large number of festive events in the region in the year of the 90th anniversary of the Kirov region. According to him, more than 200 ceremonial events are planned in the region, but the emphasis should be placed differently now.
"Now is not the time for fun. Let's finish celebrating and start working for the good of the region. The Kirov region is already called the region of holidays. If you look, we have a holiday every day," Zhuravlyov stated.
A separate block of the deputy's speech was dedicated to the situation surrounding the regional enterprise "Vyatavtodor." He stated that the enterprise plans to acquire one of the assets for 380 million rubles, but the economic feasibility of the deal raises serious questions.
"I analyzed the situation and concluded that this purchase is unnecessary. I sent a letter to the governor regarding this," Zhuravlyov reported.
According to the deputy, the financial situation of "Vyatavtodor" raises serious concerns.
"Today, according to my data, 'Vyatavtodor' is on the verge of bankruptcy — they cannot pay for sand, gravel, and have no means to pay people's salaries. Who made such a decision?" the deputy questioned.
Zhuravlyov also touched on the criminal case related to the detention of the enterprise's director. He doubted that a corruption scheme could have been organized by one person.
"The governor spoke about one bad sheep in the herd. But law enforcement tells me that there are still 5-6 rams in this herd who organized this," he stated.
According to the deputy, despite the public statements of the regional head about assisting the investigation, the situation looks different.
"In my opinion, everything is happening exactly the opposite. And the purchase of the enterprise by 'Vyatavtodor' is economically unjustified. The governor once again did not listen to the deputies of the city council. And I believe he bears full political responsibility for this. Urgent conclusions need to be made," Zhuravlyov concluded.
