The Prosecutor's Office of the Yuryansky District supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 32-year-old local resident. He was found guilty of driving a vehicle while intoxicated after previously being sentenced for a similar offense.
As established by the court, on the evening of February 8, 2026, the man, while behind the wheel of a Lada Priora showing signs of intoxication, was driving along Zheleznodorozhnaya Street in the village of Yuryya. There, he was stopped by police officers and removed from driving the vehicle.
During the check, it was revealed that the driver had previously been held administratively liable for drunk driving. At that time, he was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest.
The court found the man guilty and sentenced him to 240 hours of community service, as well as revoked his right to drive vehicles for two years.
In addition, at the request of the state prosecutor, the court confiscated the offender's vehicle and transferred it to state ownership.
