15 liters per car: how regions are combating fuel shortages
As of June 26, fuel sale restrictions are already in effect in dozens of regions. Authorities explain this as a necessity to prevent shortages amid the rush: over the past week, demand for gasoline and diesel has increased by 20-30%. In the Trans-Baikal Territory, a state of heightened readiness has been introduced. Since June 25, individuals are allowed to purchase no more than 15 liters of fuel per refueling — and only in the vehicle's tank, as reported by "Rossiyskaya Gazeta." This is the strictest limit among all regions. Priority fuel is given to organizations that provide delivery of food, medicines, and essential goods, as well as emergency services. Governor Alexander Osipov addressed residents: "Unfortunately, enemies and panic-mongers are spreading rumors and gossip, which has led to increased consumption of motor fuel." In the Tomsk region, on the morning of June 26, a shortage of essential types of fuel was recorded at gas stations in the Kolpashevsky, Asinsky, Zyryansky, and Teguldet districts, according to "Vedomosti." The reason is a sharp surge in demand: over the week, retail sales of gasoline and diesel have increased by an average of 15%. Authorities promise to conduct additional supplies throughout the day. Restrictions have also been introduced in the Kaliningrad region (up to 30 liters of gasoline and up to 60 liters of diesel per person), in the Kurgan and Tyumen regions, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In Voronezh, Tambov, and Lipetsk regions, "Voronezhnefteprodukt" has limited fuel sales to 30 liters per vehicle since June 26. Earlier, gasoline shortages were observed in Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Leningrad Oblast, and Crimea. Novak: There are enough reserves, logistics are being restructured. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that the domestic market is fully supplied with the necessary fuel reserves. According to him, the rush in the fuel market has artificially increased demand, and the situation is more artificial than systemic. "Currently, the restructuring of the logistics connections of the system is underway, taking into account the needs," "Izvestia" quotes him. The situation in the Kirov region According to Kirovstat, from June 15 to June 22, gasoline prices in the Kirov region increased by 7-8%: AI-92 rose by 7.4%, AI-95 by 8%. The average price of AI-92 in the region was 68.37 rubles per liter, AI-95 was 75.11 rubles. At the "Chepetsknefteprodukt" gas station, there is a limit — no more than 30 liters of gasoline per person per day. Earlier, the government of the Kirov region sent a request to the Federal Antimonopoly Service to check the justification of prices at "Dvizhenie" gas stations. More than 30 regions of Russia have already introduced various restrictions on fuel sales. Recall that on June 25, Kirov car owners reported that at the "Lukoil" gas station at the intersection of Oktyabrsky Avenue and Vladimir Street, only diesel was available — all other types of gasoline were absent. On the same day, a similar situation was observed at the gas station opposite the House of Printing, where only diesel and AI-100 were left for sale.
