Recently, in the evening, a 76-year-old resident of the village of Vakhryushi went into the forest to pick mushrooms. However, he never returned home. His wife was unable to reach him by phone, as the pensioner had left his phone at home. She had to contact the police.
Police officers, along with volunteers, organized a search for the elderly man. Some of them began to visit the nearest houses and interview local residents, while others headed into the forest.
The search was conducted at night, which complicated the task. Finally, early in the morning, the police found the pensioner. He had spent the whole night in the forest and was severely dehydrated.
It later turned out that the missing man had wandered into a marshy area and barely managed to get out of it, expending a lot of energy. He was given first aid and then taken to the hospital. The life and health of the elderly man are not in danger now.
