Almost 11,500 passengers with limited mobility received specialized assistance at the stations of the Gorky Railway in the first months of 2026. This is 4.5% more than in the same period last year. In Kirov, around 2,000 people received support.
Requests for assistance are accepted through the Mobility Assistance Center of JSC "Russian Railways". The most requests come from the stations of Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov, Kazan, Izhevsk, and the Kazan-Voskresenie station.
Center staff assist passengers with disabilities: they meet them at the station, accompany them to the train, help with ticketing and boarding. Wheelchairs and assistance with luggage transport are provided if necessary. All services are offered free of charge.
