The situation with gasoline in the Kirov region will be addressed by the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the prosecutor's office.
At a government meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov mentioned the mass complaints from residents of the Kirov region about the rising gasoline prices at the "Dvizhenie" network gas stations. According to him, panic has spread across the network, leading to a surge in demand. Sokolov personally traveled around the region over the weekend and saw that there were indeed queues at the gas stations. "I think such a price increase at one of the gas station networks — more than 10 rubles per liter — justifiably causes people's misunderstanding and sows panic," he noted.
Chairman of the government Mikhail Sandalov reported that restrictions have been imposed at the "Chepetsknefteprodukt" gas stations, which have been in effect for over a week, limiting the sale of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline to 30 liters and diesel to 100 liters per day per customer.
"The duration of the restrictions is until the normalization of the situation related to the untimely loading of previously purchased petroleum products on the exchange, as well as the sharp decline in the volumes of petroleum products offered for purchase on the St. Petersburg exchange due to the downtime of oil refineries in the European part of Russia as a result of drone attacks," the official said.
Sandalov added that a total of 13,000 tons have been purchased on the exchange by "Chepetsknefteprodukt," and to meet demand, purchases are also being made from traders. Fuel is not being dispensed into canisters to avoid a surge in demand. As of today, the remaining stock at the company's oil depots (not counting the purchased fuel) is about 4,000 tons, including more than 2,000 tons of gasoline. "There is a reserve, it will last until the first decade of July," said the chairman of the government. "Under contracts with agricultural producers, obligations are being fully met."
As for the company "Lukoil Uralnefteprodukt," according to Sandalov, no restrictions on fuel supplies have been imposed, and stocks are sufficient. The shipment and supply of fuel to replenish the reserves of the Kirov oil depot are being carried out on time and without logistics failures. They have no problems with "Russian Railways." Canisters are not being filled to avoid a surge in demand. Obligations to agricultural producers are being fulfilled.
The official also spoke about the gas station in Shikhovo, where there are restrictions of up to 10 liters for gasoline and up to 100 liters for diesel. As of today, the fuel at the gas station has run out, and they promise to resume sales at the beginning of this week.
Regarding prices, according to Sandalov, "Lukoil" is keeping them almost at the previous level: AI-92 — 63 rubles, AI-95 — 69, diesel — 80. At "Chepetsknefteprodukt" — 73, 80, and 86 respectively.
Sandalov and Sokolov further noted that, in their opinion, there is no reason for a surge in demand; fuel supplies are proceeding as planned. The governor emphasized that for enterprises with their own oil refineries, everything is fine, while those without them, who held back their savings instead of purchasing fuel on time, are now inflating prices.
Sokolov instructed to contact the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the prosecutor's office to investigate the situation with "Dvizhenie." "An 11 ruble difference is a strange way of doing business," he expressed his opinion. "We need to see if there are any violations of citizens' rights." The governor added that all measures should be taken to bring prices in order.
