In the Kirov region, graduates will take the Unified State Exam on a reserve day.
On Monday, June 23, a second reserve day for the Unified State Exam will take place in the Kirov region for eleventh graders. On this day, students will be able to take exams in mathematics, social studies, history, biology, geography, as well as the oral part of the foreign language exam.
As reported by the regional Ministry of Education, reserve days are intended for those who, for a valid reason, were unable to attend the exam during the main period or did not complete their work. Graduates from previous years will also take exams on this day.
According to Galina Marenina, director of the Center for Quality Assessment in Education, 22 exam sites will be opened in the region for conducting the exams. Reserve days allow graduates to complete the examination campaign and receive results on par with those who took the Unified State Exam during the main period. 23 graduates from the Kirov region scored 100 points on the Russian language Unified State Exam. Most graduates from the Kirov region took the Unified State Exam in biology on June 15. More than 3,000 Kirov schoolchildren are preparing to take the Unified State Exam in social studies and physics.
