"Turn on the internet!": Mobile internet disruptions again in the Kirov region
Today, June 20, residents of the Kirov region are once again complaining about interruptions in mobile internet service. According to the monitoring service Detector404, issues are being recorded across the networks of several mobile operators.
Users on the site are leaving outraged comments: "Turn on the internet!", "It's not to say that there won't be internet, but that's not about us..." and so on.
Users across the country are reporting outages. According to information from open sources, widespread problems with internet and calls have affected at least 10 regions, including the Kirov region.
Subscribers of the operators are receiving notifications about possible temporary restrictions. In particular, some customers received messages stating that "there may be difficulties with the internet in your region due to security measures," while regular calls and SMS remain available. Similar warnings have been received by subscribers before: the operator reported that mobile internet may be limited in the area, and the quality of voice communication may be lower than usual due to security measures.
Authorities explain the restrictions as security measures. Presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the interruptions in internet service are justified and related to the safety of citizens. According to President Vladimir Putin, the internet issues in major cities are linked to the prevention of terrorist threats.
