Today, June 19, it became known that the Chumovitsa has been cleaned, and the company responsible for the pollution of the river has been issued a warning. "The situation is under control. It is planned to organize a cleanup on the Chumovitsa River with the efforts of workers from enterprises, representatives of veteran organizations, and youth," the regional Ministry of Natural Resources reported.
Earlier, ministry employees visited the pollution site, collected water samples, and identified the source of the discharge. Laboratory analysis confirmed the exceedance of maximum allowable concentrations of petroleum products. The Kirov region prosecutor's office also approved the conduct of an unscheduled field inspection.
