In the Kirov region, the number of people hired exceeded the number of those dismissed.
According to the agency, information about personnel changes was provided by more than 5,000 organizations, where 280,000 people were employed at the end of the quarter. The largest share of employed individuals is in manufacturing industries — 25% of the total workforce.
From January to March, 14,000 new employees were hired in the region — this is 5% of the total workforce. The most common employment was in manufacturing industries (25%), in wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles (19%), as well as in healthcare and social services (10%). At the same time, 3% of those hired took positions in newly created jobs — almost half of them appeared specifically in the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (44%).
The number of layoffs during the same period was lower — 13,000 people. The main reason for leaving was the employees' own initiative (82%). By mutual agreement, 5% of labor relations were terminated, 3% due to staff reductions, and 10% for other reasons. Among those laid off, the most common were employed in manufacturing industries (23%) in wholesale and retail trade and in the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (19%).
The part-time employment regime was applied by about 3,000 organizations in the first quarter. It involved 15% of the total workforce of the surveyed organizations. Most of them (62%) were on unpaid leave. The highest level of part-time employment (35%) was noted in manufacturing industries.
At the end of the quarter, organizations reported 13,000 vacant positions. The most vacancies were in government and social security agencies (26%) and in manufacturing industries (22%).
