The locomotive crew rescued a six-year-old boy on the railway.
The locomotive driver Vladislav Vladykin and his assistant Igor Berzin were following the route Baleyzino – Lyangasovo. On the stretch Zuevka – Ardash they noticed a child on the tracks and immediately began emergency braking. The train was able to stop just five meters from the boy.
The six-year-old child was on the tracks without adult supervision. The locomotive crew took him out of the danger zone, delivered him to the Lyangasovo station, and handed him over to the transport police. Juvenile inspectors from the Kirov linear department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on transport quickly found the boy's parents and returned him to his family.
For saving the child, the locomotive crew has been nominated for awards from the management of the Gorky Railway.
