The legislative assembly received the right to approve deputy chairpersons after their agreement.

      On June 18, the deputies of the Legislative Assembly considered a bill stating that the Legislative Assembly is granted the right to approve the nominations of the first deputy chairs and deputy chairs of the government. The reason was the introduction of corresponding amendments to the region's Charter.

      Let us remind you that in March 2026, the Legislative Assembly approved the appointment of two deputy chairs of the government. At a recent meeting of the Legislative Assembly committee, deputy Albert Bikalyuk expressed outrage that the procedure took place before it was enshrined in legislation. In response, a government official stated that according to the Charter, the approval was carried out legally, but according to regional legislation, it was not.

      At the plenary session of the Legislative Assembly, Bikalyuk expressed the opinion that this is already the second case where laws are adopted after the actions prescribed in them have been carried out (the first case was with the Capital Repair Fund, which had been working with contractors based on contracts for many years, and only now has this obligation been enshrined in legislation).

      Bikalyuk added: "I want to ask the government, when will you have zero tolerance for unprofessionalism? Does the legal department even work? What are you getting paid for? Can the approval of the deputy chairs be called into question? It's a mess." The chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Roman Beresnev, replied that the approval of the deputy chairs was carried out legally. Deputy Sergey Mamaev supported Bikalyuk.

      During the voting, 35 deputies voted in favor. As a result, the bill was adopted.
