The Novovyatsk Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region has completed the investigation of a criminal case. A 38-year-old man has been charged under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of serious harm to health resulting in the death of the victim) and Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery).
According to the investigation, on March 9, 2026, in the Novovyatsk district of Kirov, the accused, while in a state of intoxication, during a quarrel with a 41-year-old acquaintance, inflicted one stab wound to her chest. The woman was hospitalized, but it was not possible to save her — she died in the hospital.
In addition, in January 2026, the man openly stole a mobile phone from a friend.
The court has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention for the accused. Investigators have gathered sufficient evidence, and the criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to court.
