Passenger traffic from Kirov to St. Petersburg increased by 8%.

      From January to May 2026, 26,000 people traveled by train on the Kirov – St. Petersburg route. This is an 8% increase compared to the same period last year. A total of 7 trains operate on this route.

      From Nizhny Novgorod to the northern capital, 55,000 people traveled — in line with the figures from 2025. There are also 7 trains (direct and transit) running between the cities. From Kazan — 27,000 people (one train). From Izhevsk — 10,500, which is a 13% increase compared to the previous year (one train).

      Let us remind you that a year ago, on June 16, 2025, regular suburban services were launched between Kirov and Kirovo-Chepetsk. During this time, 44,000 passengers have used the electric trains on the Kirov – Chepetskaya route.
