A resident of the village of Kokshaga reported to the "Kiknur" police station about the discovery of the body of his sister, born in 1971. The woman was lying by the local pond with bodily injuries. Relatives began searching early in the morning when it became clear that she had not spent the night at home. The day before, she had been in the company by the pond.
Police officers examined the scene and identified the participants of the picnic. It turned out that a local resident, born in 1955, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication, attempted to drive onto the road in his VAZ-21740 car. While reversing, he ran over the victim. The woman died at the scene from her injuries.
The investigator of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov region initiated a criminal case under part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (manslaughter). The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
