One of the central events of the holiday was the ceremony of awarding the Honorary Prize "Recognition," established in 2026 by the Kirov Regional Branch of the United Russia party. The award is given to residents of the region who have made significant contributions to the socio-economic, cultural, and public development of the Kirov region. Boris Vesnin presented Honorary Certificates of "Recognition" to education sector employees - the principal of School No. 19 in Kirov, Larisa Panyushova, and the principal of School No. 9, Anna Novikova. "Russia Day is a holiday that unites us around our love for our country, our region, and our city. Special words of gratitude today are addressed to the people who, through their hard work, professionalism, and active civic stance, contribute to the development of the Kirov region. It is thanks to such residents that our cities, districts, and the entire region become better," emphasized Boris Vesnin. Also, as part of the festive event, the best representatives of organizations, enterprises, and institutions in the Pervomaisky District were awarded Honorary Certificates from the territorial administration of the city of Kirov. The awards recognized employees in education, culture, the library system, preschool institutions, and enterprises in the district, who, through their many years of diligent work and active community involvement, earned the recognition of their colleagues and residents. The festive program continued with performances by creative groups and a concert, and the evening concluded with a disco for the residents of the microdistrict.
