In Kirov, a contractor was fined for the illegal demolition of trees in Victory Park.
According to the city administration, the Directorate of Landscaping reported the illegal felling of three trees. The contracting organization has been fined nearly 130,000 rubles. A decision has also been made to modify the landscaping project to preserve the maximum number of green plantings. As explained by the head of the city administration, Vyacheslav Simakov, they will adjust the routes of the new paths together with the contractor — in such a way as to preserve the trees and ensure the safety of park visitors. It should be noted that as part of the project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," new pedestrian paths were planned to be arranged in Victory Park, to update the staircases from the side of the stele and Lepse Street, to install benches and trash bins, as well as to plant more than 180 trees and shrubs. Recall that on June 4, the tree felling work in Victory Park was already suspended after this situation caused mass discontent among citizens. At that time, it became clear that the documentation mentioned the uprooting of 160 stumps — with a planned felling of 72 trees.
