The governor threatened the authorities of the Kotel'nich district.
At a government meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov reported that in 2024 he had given instructions to the authorities of the Kotelnichsky district. In the village of Makarye, there was a need to improve the area around the school. The region agreed to help with funding, and the local administration only needed to create project and estimate documentation and send it to the Ministry of Education. However, almost two years have passed, and the instruction has still not been fulfilled.
Sokolov did not allow the head of the district, Sergey Kudrevatyh, to speak. Instead, he stated that if the instruction is not completed within a month (by July 2026), he will assess how the local authorities are functioning. The governor ordered the Ministry of Internal Policy to take the issue under strict control.
