Kirov schoolchildren decided to take geography and computer science.

The Ministry of Education of the Kirov Region has published data on registration for the optional OGE, which took place on June 5. Geography emerged as the leader: 3,070 graduates registered for it. Computer Science took the second spot with 2,404 participants. In total, 3,438 people registered for subjects in the natural sciences cycle (physics, chemistry, biology). Other disciplines garnered fewer than a hundred: history — 235 applications, English language — 56, literature — 55. Exams were held at 161 locations in educational organizations across the region. As reported by the director of the Center for Quality Assessment in Education, Galina Marenina (the institution is subordinate to the Ministry of Education), the process was monitored through the personal account of the examination center — a software complex for conducting the state final assessment. It recorded the statuses of the stages: "exams successfully started," "exams completed," "materials transferred to the regional information processing center." The results of the OGE from June 5 will be announced no later than June 17. The department also reminded about the reserve days — July 3 and 6. Participants who did not attend on the main day for a documented valid reason, did not complete their work due to illness, or received no more than two unsatisfactory marks are entitled to take the optional subjects on these days.
