Recall that on June 5, participants of the pilgrimage reached the village of Velikoretskoe. Today, on the 6th, the main religious events took place there. According to our correspondent, a large number of people flocked to Velikoretskoe. So much so that many had to leave their cars several kilometers away from the village. Tents were set up wherever possible, including along the highway and in the fields. In addition to the pilgrims, there were quite a few visitors. "Crowds of people were streaming from the parking areas," our journalist reported.

A whole fair was set up for the participants of the Velikoretskoe pilgrimage and the guests of the village. There, one could buy anything from food (for example, shashlik) to souvenirs (t-shirts, photographs of pilgrims, and so on). A church shop, a pharmacy, and even a mini-exhibition of the local history museum were opened. According to our correspondent, the prices were surprisingly quite reasonable. Unlike the cost of travel to Velikoretskoe, which has doubled in the past couple of years and reached 600 rubles.

Around 10 o'clock, the pilgrims and others set off towards the Velikaya River. There, a late Divine Liturgy was held, led by Metropolitan Alexander of Kazakhstan and Astana.

After noon, a procession to the spring took place. Then, the blessing of the water at the spring and on the Velikaya River was conducted — the so-called rite of water blessing. At 1 PM, the icon of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker was carried from the riverbank to the area in front of the Nikolsky Church. "The crowd is roaring, everyone is happy, falling to their knees, the metropolitans are being seen off," our journalist commented on the events.

It should be noted that today in Velikoretskoe, there will also be prayers with an akathist before the Velikoretsky icon of Nicholas the Wonderworker in the Nikolsky Church. In addition, an all-night vigil will be held in the Transfiguration Church.
