Kirov residents are looking forward to a three-day weekend in honor of Russia Day.

      The holiday and non-working day is June 12. With a five-day work week, residents of Kirov can expect a three-day weekend from June 12 to June 14 inclusive. At the same time, June 11 will be a pre-holiday working day. According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, its duration should be reduced by one hour. The State Labor Inspectorate noted that in organizations with a continuous production cycle, where it is impossible to shorten the shift, overtime must be compensated with additional rest time or, with the employee's consent, paid as overtime work. If an employee is required to work on a holiday or weekend, such work must be paid at an increased rate. Instead of increased pay, the employee may also choose an additional day off. Furthermore, the inspectorate reminded that the non-working holiday on June 12 is not included in the number of calendar days of annual paid leave.
