The initiative belongs to Valeria Rytvina, the founder of the "Council of Bloggers." In her opinion, such a term offends women who raise children alone and contributes to the harassment of single mothers. The proposal is currently undergoing legal examination and assessment by specialists. Experts agree that the phrase has a clearly negative connotation. The word "divorcee" sounds derogatory, and the addition of "trailer" in relation to the child only intensifies the pejorative tone. Deputies emphasize: it is important to protect citizens' rights and prevent insults based on family status. If the bill is approved, fines will be imposed for using this term on social networks, in comments, and in blogs, writes "Gazeta.ru."
