In Kirov, a verdict has been issued against a 39-year-old motorist who was caught driving under the influence for the second time. The man was found guilty under the criminal code for operating a vehicle after receiving an administrative penalty for a similar violation.
According to the Kirov region prosecutor's office, on January 5, 2026, the driver of a Volkswagen Tiguan was driving through the streets of Kirov and collided with a Lada Priora on Moskovskaya Street. After the accident, he was detained, and signs of intoxication were recorded during the check.
Previously, the man had already been held accountable for drunk driving and had his license revoked for a year and a half with a fine.
The court sentenced him to 200 hours of community service and a ban on driving for 2 years. The Volkswagen Tiguan was also confiscated and turned over to the state.
