Kirov residents do not believe that modern children are happier.
According to the results of a survey conducted by the "SuperJob" service, 26% of Kirov residents believe that the current generation of children has a better life. At the same time, the majority of respondents — 51% — hold the opposite opinion. Another 23% found it difficult to give a definite answer.
The study showed that skepticism only grows with age. Among respondents under 35, 46% believe that modern children are not happier than previous generations, while among residents over 45, this figure reaches 62%.
People with different levels of education assess the situation differently. Among those with secondary vocational education, a third of respondents believe that today's children are happier. Among Kirov residents with higher education, only 17% share this opinion.
The presence of one's own children also influences opinions. Among parents, 36% are confident that the modern generation lives happier. Among childless residents, only 17% think so.
In the comments, survey participants noted that modern children have more opportunities, technology, and entertainment, but this does not always mean a happier childhood. Many recalled that in the past, children spent more time outdoors, interacted with peers, and were less dependent on gadgets.
Some respondents pointed out that today's children benefit from a higher level of amenities — modern playgrounds and infrastructure, but face other problems, such as high academic pressure and restrictions on independent outings.
