"Salary" for the firstborn: why mothers in Kirov are not receiving the promised 38 and 45 thousand
In the Kirov region, 6.2 thousand women receive payments for their first child, reports the press service of the Kirov region government. One thousand of them receive a "higher amount" of 45,794 rubles (for mothers under 25 years old), while the others are entitled to 38,203 rubles. However, these figures are not what arrives in the account. The mechanism is structured differently. A woman does not receive a fixed amount, but rather a supplement. From the standard amount (38,203 or 45,794 rubles), her monthly income — salary, benefits from the Social Fund, alimony, and any other income — is deducted. What remains is transferred to her card. In fact, the state guarantees not a payment, but an increase in the mother's income to the specified level. The exact amount a woman will receive in a specific month is recalculated each time by social protection authorities. The payment is assigned from the month of the child's birth and is transferred for the previous month — from the 20th to the 25th. Social protection is obliged to notify the recipient of how much will be credited no later than the 20th. Conditions for receiving: the mother lived in the Kirov region for at least six months before giving birth; the child is registered in the region; the child is monitored at a state clinic. Consultations can be obtained by calling the Kirov social protection hotline: 8 (8332) 32-13-51 or at the social protection office at the place of residence.
