The number of vouchers for camps for children of Kirov participants in the SVO will be increased.
At a meeting of the Kirov region government, the organization of children's recreation in 2026 was discussed (the summer campaign started on May 26). One of the topics was support for families of participants in the Special Military Operation (SMO). According to the authorities, 1,932 applicants requested free vouchers for country camps for this category. In this regard, it was decided to increase the number of such vouchers. The deadlines for accepting applications have also been extended.
Separately, the government reported on other categories of children who will be sent for rehabilitation at the expense of federal funds. This concerns children in difficult life situations, with disabilities, with type 1 diabetes, and with hearing impairments. In total, according to the authorities, it is planned to cover more than ten thousand such children.
In addition, swimming lessons for children will continue in country and day camps in the region. The plan is to teach more than 12,000 children.
The government also drew attention to "unauthorized camps" that are not included in the register of recreation organizers. Such camps are deemed illegal and are not entitled to provide services. According to the Ministry of Education, explanatory work has already been conducted with 17 organizations that planned to operate a children's camp in 2026 but are not registered.

In total, according to the authorities, 458 children's recreation organizations will operate this year. It is planned to send more than 57,000 children for recreation.
