Happiness has become more expensive: Kirov residents named the amount for a comfortable life.
According to a study by the SuperJob service, Kirov residents need an average of 216,000 rubles per month for happiness. A year ago, this amount was 204,000 rubles, and in the fall of 2024, it is expected to be 190,000 rubles.
At the same time, Kirov ranked among the cities with the most modest "happy" requests. Only residents of Tomsk, Barnaul, and Lipetsk want less. For comparison: Muscovites, according to the survey, need 295,000 rubles per month, St. Petersburg residents need 282,000, and Vladivostok residents need 279,000.
On average across Russia, the amount needed for happiness has increased by 6% over the year—from 253,000 to 273,000 rubles per month.
Men traditionally name higher amounts than women: 309,000 versus 240,000 rubles. Requests also increase with age. Young people under 24 need 220,000 rubles, while Russians over 45 consider 285,000 rubles to be a comfortable amount.
The requests have grown the most among affluent citizens: Russians with an income of 150,000 rubles would like to receive 337,000 rubles per month for happiness.
