The State Labor Inspectorate reported that the injuries sustained are classified as severe. Specialists are currently conducting an investigation and establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
— "During the investigation, specific circumstances and causes of the accident will be determined," said Deputy Head of the State Labor Inspectorate A. D. Loginov.
Let us remind you that the construction of the tunnel in Novovyatsk has been ongoing since 2024. At the start, the project faced issues with relocating engineering communications, but later the pace of work accelerated. Recently, the installation of piles was completed at the site. Regional authorities previously stated that, barring any force majeure, the tunnel could be completed ahead of schedule.
In 2026, project funding was increased. The total cost of construction is currently estimated at approximately 6 billion rubles.
