In the Kirov region, a thunderstorm left a man homeless.

      The incident occurred in the evening in the village of Biserovo. According to rescuers, a television caught fire in the house. At the time of the fire, the homeowner was inside. The man attempted to extinguish the fire himself; however, the flames quickly spread to the roof of the house and outbuildings.

      As a result of the incident, the homeowner sustained burns. He received medical assistance, and hospitalization was not required.

      The fire was extinguished by 11 people and five pieces of equipment — employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, volunteer and municipal firefighters.

      The agency noted that this is the first fire caused by a thunderstorm in the Kirov region this year. Rescuers remind residents of the region about the necessity of equipping homes and outbuildings with a lightning protection system.
