47 young residents of Kirov have been banned from riding motorcycles and mopeds since the beginning of the year.

In the Kirov region, specialized raids targeting motorcycle drivers without licenses continue. As reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate, since the beginning of 2026, road police have excluded 218 such violators from participating in traffic. Of these, 47 are minors.

Traffic inspectors pay special attention to rural areas, dacha communities, and recreation spots for Kirov residents — it is there that young motorcyclists and moped riders are most often stopped. In the raids, inspectors for juvenile affairs participate alongside the traffic police. Motorcycle crews are also involved in patrolling.

The statistics on accidents necessitate special attention to this work. In 2026, there were 55 traffic accidents involving motorcycles in the region. Three people died in these accidents, and another 66 sustained injuries of varying severity. Of these, 13 were children under the age of 16. The majority of incidents occurred due to the fault of the motorcycle drivers themselves, including those without licenses.

Officers hold discussions with the parents of the underage violators. Additionally, legislation provides for fines: from 5,000 to 15,000 rubles for operating a motorcycle without a license and 30,000 rubles for handing over the wheel to a person without the appropriate document.

The State Traffic Inspectorate emphasized that raid activities will continue.
