      At the end of the meeting in the government, Governor Alexander Sokolov reported on a request received from Georgy Barminov, the chairman of the Kirov branch of the Education Union. He wrote that in accordance with the decision of their leadership, he is submitting a petition for the nomination of Anatoly Churin for the title of "Honorary Citizen of Kirov Region." Sokolov forwarded the request to the commission that considers such matters. He asked them to take his opinion into account, adding that he supports the initiative and that Churin is "a significant figure in education," having led the Ministry of Education for a long time and maintaining connections with the educational community. Furthermore, tomorrow, May 26, is his anniversary. According to the governor, after the commission's decision, the matter will be brought to the attention of the Legislative Assembly meeting.
