Almost 34 thousand entrepreneurs are registered in the Kirov region.

      According to Kirovstat, as of January 1, 2026, there are 33.9 thousand individual entrepreneurs registered in the Kirov region. Among them are 316 heads of peasant (farm) households. The majority of entrepreneurs are concentrated in the regional center. Almost 19 thousand individual entrepreneurs are registered in Kirov, which accounts for 56% of the total number in the region. A significant number of entrepreneurs also work in Kirovo-Chepetsk, Slobodsky District, Vyatskiye Polyany, Slobodsky, and Kirovo-Chepetsk Districts. Among individual entrepreneurs in the region, men dominate — at the beginning of the year, their share was 63%. The most numerous age group consists of entrepreneurs aged 40 to 49 years — 32% of the total. Another 27% are residents of the region aged 30 to 39 years. The average age of an individual entrepreneur in the Kirov region is 43 years. Additionally, according to state registration data, 14 individuals under the age of 18 are engaged in entrepreneurial activities. Most often, entrepreneurs in the region work in wholesale and retail trade, as well as in the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles — this sector was chosen by 33.1% of individual entrepreneurs. Another 13.7% are engaged in transportation and storage, 8.3% in construction, and 8.1% in manufacturing. Individual entrepreneurs from other countries are also registered in the Kirov region. As of the beginning of 2026, there were 144 of them. The majority are citizens of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Vietnam.
