125 tons of tires were exported from the Kirov region.
According to the regional Ministry of Environmental Protection, at the first stage, 125 thousand kilograms of used rubber were collected. All tires will be sent to the Dmitrov Rubber Technical Institute plant, where they will be processed into rubber crumb.
In 2026, the campaign became larger in scale. Tire collection points opened not only in Kirov but also in Kirovo-Chepetsk, Slobodskoy, Kotel'nich, Yaran'sk, and Vyatskiye Polyany.
Organizers note that recycling helps reduce the number of illegal dumps and gives waste a second life. Residents of the region are asked not to throw old tires into garbage containers and on the roadside, but to take them to special collection points.
